There is nothing complicated about our battery

Our batteries are standard Sealed Lead Acid batteries such as you will find in many electronic devices. They are readily available at any specialist battery supplier, the internet or us.

More reserve and more solar input

Recent battery upgrade 12v 7Amp Hr to 12v 9Amp Hr

Recent solar panel upgrade from 5 watt to 7 watt.

How much reserve is there ?

The new battery will do 5500 open and shut cycles with no solar input. The new solar panel will provide enough power for 100 cycles from just 1 hour of good sunshine.

So not only will our gate run in the dark - It will run for nearly a month in the dark.

The battery sits neatly in the cabinet with easy access should that be needed.
